Another cake my fiancee and I made. We made this one a few days ago for my fiancee's 16 year old sister's birthday. It's a chocolate cake with vanilla buttercream icing. It's covered in homemade marshmallow fondant with fondant decorations.

Birthday Cake For 3 Year Old
Here is a cake my Fiancee and I made for her three year old sister's birthday in June. Her sister, Emily, is crazy about Finding Nemo so that's why we chose this theme. This was I white cake with buttercream icing. Cake is covered with homemade marshmallow fondant and all decorations are handmade with gumpaste.

Millet Muffins
If you've never had a millet muffin do yourself a favor and make these as soon as humanly possible. Slightly sweet, with an amazingly crunchy texture, this muffin is definitely all about texture. I've made this tons of times as they are one of my fiancee's favorite things that I bake (aside from a spinach quiche that I'll post another time). Feel free to comment and let me know what you think, suggestions are welcome!

NUMBER 1
Hello blogging world! Welcome to my blog! So I've been interested in baking since I was little, helping my Grandma in the kitchen. I guess I should say "helping", because it was me trashing everything and her cleaning up behind me. Fast forward to about a year ago when my fiancee and I got into making specialty cakes covered in fondant with gumpaste decorations and that kind of thing. We make cakes whenever we have an excuse to do so. Then after getting a new job at a wholesale bakery/cafe in Berkeley California I decided to study bread, pastry and cake making. I didn't want to just make recipes, I wanted to know why I'm doing what I'm doing and learn as much technical information my brain could hold. Unfortunately like most people I don't have the luxury to pay thousands of dollars on baking school. So much to the dismay of my bank account, I started buying cookbooks, textbooks and any kitchen gadgets I needed. Luckily, my birthday was around the corner and I received the most expensive gadget, a KitchenAid mixer (thanks to my fiancee!). So here I am, reading and baking as much as possible. I decided to start a blog to post the outcomes of recipes from different cookbooks, and recipes I've adapted and maybe even some originals. So blogging world, lets share information, ideas, stories and whatever else and ultimately we can ALL bake perfection.
